The National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), an arm of the
National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), insures your West Coast
Federal Employees Credit Union shares. NCUA is an independent agency of
the United States Government, with share accounts insured up to $250,000
per individual. Individual Retirement (IRA) Accounts are insured
separately up to $250,000 by the NCUA. There are numerous combinations
of accounts, which can increase the total coverage to as high as
$1,000,000 or more. Not one penny of insured savings has ever been lost
by a member of a federally insured credit union.
